(Q)-Please state your name, place of birth and your birthday.
Craig Morgan-Craig Morgan.I was born in Nashville, Tennessee. I was born on July 17th.

(Q)-Is country music your primary form of personal expression?

Craig Morgan-Is country music my primary form of personal expression?

(Q)-Yes.
Craig Morgan-My life and my lifestyle is my form of personal expression.

(Q)-Your new album,”My Kind of Livin'”, musically is pure country.
Craig Morgan-Yes it is.

(Q)-Why?
Craig Morgan-That’s the way I want it to be.

(Q)-On your new album,”My Kind Of Livin'”,a common theme within the lyrics is,living in America and living a country lifestyle, is a life that is paradise. Why is that an accurate statement?

Craig Morgan-Country lifestyle is, more than any other lifestyle, pure and simple. I believe that people who have a country lifestyle tend to have a more grounded sense of appreciation for life.

(Q)-Why?
Craig Morgan-It’s because of the struggles they’ve experienced and the fact that they live life at a slower pace, which is hard to find these days. So many people are living for tomorrow and not enjoying today. That’s something, a key point, that I really try to grab a hold of on this new album. It is something that I really want to talk about on this new album. We need to appreciate the simple things. I think so often we’re too worried about the big picture and we, in an attempt to grab a hold of the big picture, we’re not enjoying the little things in life. It’s those little things that so many people, when they do experience those moments, realize that’s what life is truly all about. What I sing and write and talk about, when I’m referring to a,’country lifestyle’,even people, who are not living that lifestyle, can relate to that statement.

(Q)-Why?
Craig Morgan-Because it is something that they can think about or even dream about. Because it’s something they want to experience.

(Q)-How do you define country music?

Craig Morgan-Country music to me is more then just a lyrics and melody, I think it is a lifestyle. I think country music is a way of life. For a while, we got away from what country music really was about.

(Q)-Why did that happen? What caused that collective experience to occur?
Craig Morgan-Because there was so much focus on a song. And, to an extent, it still remains that way.

(Q)-You still have to have a great song to be successful with a country single.

Craig Morgan-Yes.You still have to have a great song. However a country song and the people who listen to country music, as well as the singer of the song, within the lifestyle they lead, are what country music is all about!

(Q)-Another theme throughout your new album, “My Kind of Livin'”, is love of America as a homeland. What is your definition of America?
Craig Morgan-America is the red white and blue. I’m still the kind of guy who believes, at the end of the day, when I go to bed, I still think that, everybody who is here in America, has good intentions.

(Q)-Honestly?
Craig Morgan-Yes. That may be ignorant or naive but I still believe that we have great people in this country who want to do good things. America is the purest. I don’t care where you are in the world, where you say, ‘America’ and when I say the word ‘America’, everybody in the world knows that, America is paradise.

(Q)-Paradise?
Craig Morgan-AMERICA IS PARADISE! FOREVER! No matter what they say, they don’t want us in certain places and certain things go on politically around the world, but the bottom line is that they all want to be here.

(Q)-Why?
Craig Morgan-Because of the life that we live. We are the freest nation in the world. I made this comment the other day. I believe that we are making great strides and at the end of the day, I believe that people are good and that’s what balances it all out for me.

(Q)-You have traveled around the world extensively. Is that what you personally have discovered in your travels?
Craig Morgan-Yes.

(Q)-How extensive have your travels been?
Craig Morgan-I’ve been on every continent. I’ve been in almost every third world country. I’ve been to many other free countries, I’ve been to Australia, France, Germany and even in those other free countries, they don’t experience the freedom that we do in America.
